Dennis Erb, Jr. Eyes Quartet of Outlaws Races Following Peoria Podium Performance

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team was in action with the MARS Late Model Championship Series over the April 24-25 weekend and racked up a pair of strong finishes. On Friday night at Brownstown Bullring in Brownstown, Illinois, a total of 30 competitors were in the pit area to do battle for the $5,000 winner's check. Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in twenty-first fastest overall during qualifying, but later advanced to finish fifth in his loaded heat race. The Carpentersville, Illinois standout then worked his way past a handful of competitors during the 40-lap feature en route to a solid tenth place showing.

At Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday evening, a $5,098 top prize was up for grabs in the annual running of the 'Garry Swibold Memorial.' Dennis stopped the clock sixth fastest in Group A during the time trial session prior to placing second in his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fourth row in the 40-lap headliner, Dennis vaulted all the way up to second in the running order before landing on the podium in third behind only victor Ryan Unzicker and runner-up Frank Heckenast, Jr. Full results from both Land of Lincoln venues can be found online at www.marsracingseries.com.

With only a couple of days off to regroup and prepare, the #28 team now has a busy four-race week in store, as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will take them to the states of Iowa and Wisconsin from April 28-May 2. Up first will be a visit to Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, Iowa tonight for a $12,000 to win throwdown. Dennis comes into the single-day shootout in the Hawkeye State tenth in the latest version of the national series point standings.

From Thursday-Saturday, Dennis will do battle in the annual running of the ‘Dairyland Showdown’ at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wisconsin. A pair of $10,000 winner’s checks will be on the line in the two prelim events on Thursday and Friday, while Saturday’s 50-lap headliner will boast a hefty $40,000 first place prize. All four races this week can be watched live on DIRTVision, while more information about each contest can be accessed online by clicking on www.woolms.com.
