Tyler Erb Banks $30,000 World of Outlaws Victory at West Virginia Motor Speedway
Maribel Late Model Showdown at 141 Speedway Up Next
ST. MARYS, Ohio (June 15, 2026) — Few drivers have enjoyed a more lucrative month than Best Performance Motorsports pilot Tyler Erb.
Less than a month after collecting the largest payday of his career with a six-figure victory at Mansfield Speedway, the New Waverly, Texas native added another major score to his 2026 campaign by capturing Saturday's $30,000-to-win RaceFest Summer Championship at West Virginia Motor Speedway.
“That was a lot of fun,” Erb said. “Elbows up, hard racing. It really worked out into our favor. Last night, I felt really good, just probably wasn’t as committed to the top as I was tonight. Just was able to get the lead, Shepp kind of beat me there and then I slid him. I ran really hard, I felt like, for a minute, just trying to get going. Once we hit lap cars, I was like, ‘Well, the lap cars are on the bottom, that’s good, they can’t pass me down there.’ It definitely makes you feel a little bit easier just having clean air, not having to worry about anybody doing anything crazy.”
Erb's week began on Wednesday as the Moran family hosted the inaugural Shale Crescent Dirt Cup at Muskingum County Speedway.
Featuring a unique format that pitted the top 12 drivers from the World of Outlaws Late Model Series against the top 12 from the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Erb finished second in his King of the Hill-style matchup before charging from 11th to fifth in the $20,000-to-win feature.
The weekend concluded with a World of Outlaws doubleheader at West Virginia Motor Speedway, where Erb opened competition with a third-place finish on Friday, joining race winner Bobby Pierce and runner-up Dennis Erb Jr. on the podium.
Erb was even stronger in Saturday's finale. After posting the second-fastest qualifying time in his group and winning his heat race, he started from the front row and led all but the opening lap of the 50-lap main event. Erb surged past Brandon Sheppard on lap two and maintained command the rest of the way to secure his fourth victory of the season and the sixth World of Outlaws triumph of his career.
Erb currently sits third in the latest World of Outlaws Late Model Series championship standings.
