Dennis Erb Racing Ready for Four-Race Iowa Speedweek
(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team will be in the Hawkeye State this week (August 18-22) for a quartet of special events dubbed as Iowa Speedweek. Things kick off with a pair of $20,000 to win FloRacing Night in America Series battles on Tuesday at Marshalltown Speedway in Marshalltown, Iowa and on Wednesday at Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa. The dirt-slinging action will then quickly shift to Maquoketa Speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa over the weekend for the annual running of the ‘Hawkeye 100.’ The World of Outlaws Late Model Series doubleheader will start on Friday night with a $12,000 to win shootout. The action this week will then culminate on Saturday evening with the ‘Hawkeye 100’ finale, which will boast a hefty $25,000 top prize. Tonight’s visit to Marshalltown Speedway will mark the first time that the Dennis Erb Racing team will be on the track since Friday, August 7 at Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois. The MARS Championship Series sanctioned the ‘Sycamore Showcase’ that night and 30 competitors were on the grounds to vie for the $5,000 first place prize money. Dennis earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session prior to securing an impressive heat race triumph. After starting the 40-lap headliner from the outside of the front row, Dennis landed on the podium in third behind only race winner Ryan Unzicker and runner-up Jason Feger!
