Brandon Sheppard Consistent Across Iowa Swing
Rocket1 Racing Preps for Port Royal’s Rumble by the River
SHINNISTON, W. Va. (Aug. 24, 2026) — Consistency was the name of the game for Brandon Sheppard during last week’s Iowa swing, as the Rocket1 Racing driver recorded four consecutive finishes of sixth or better across two series.
Sheppard’s best result came Tuesday at Marshalltown Speedway, where he finished second in the FloRacing Night in America event. He capped the week Saturday with a fifth-place finish at Maquoketa Speedway in the World of Outlaws’ Hawkeye 100 finale.
“Man, what a fun week,” Sheppard said. “We gotta get a little better at the end of the night, but still thrilled with how the week went. We were consistent everywhere we went and we can build off of that. Looking forward to Lucas Oil picking back up this weekend in Pennsylvania.”
Sheppard kicked off the Iowa swing Tuesday at Marshalltown Speedway with a runner-up finish in the FloRacing Night in America event.
He followed that performance with a sixth-place finish in Wednesday’s $20,000-to-win FloRacing event before shifting his focus to Maquoketa Speedway for the World of Outlaws Hawkeye 100 weekend.
Sheppard finished fourth in Friday’s preliminary before capping the doubleheader with a fifth-place finish in Saturday’s $25,000-to-win finale, giving him finishes of second, sixth, fourth and fifth across the four-race stretch.
Complete results from the busy week can be found at www.FloSeries.com and www.WorldofOutlaws.com.
Sheppard will resume Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition this weekend as the tour heads to Port Royal Speedway for the annual Rumble by the River. Friday’s preliminary program will set the stage for Saturday’s $50,000-to-win main event.
