Nick Hoffman Caps Big Week with World 100 Triumph
Charges to $100,000 Victory at Eldora Speedway
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Sept. 15, 2026) — The World 100 has a way of making careers, and Nick Hoffman arrived at Eldora Speedway with his already taking a new direction.
Just days after announcing his 2027 move to Mooresville, North Carolina-based Spire Motorsports, Hoffman capped one of the biggest weeks of his career Saturday night by charging from the fifth row to take the lead with 12 laps remaining. He went on to win the World 100 and collect $100,000, his second payday of more than $100,000 this season.
“It's going to take a while to sink in,” Hoffman said. “I didn’t know (if I had) what it took there at the beginning of the race because I was just biding my time. I've watched Dale (McDowell) do that a million times, just creep around that infield long enough to just save my tires. And then it was time to go. I just made sure Sheppy stayed like right in front of me because I felt like he was the best car all weekend and as long as I just kept him at bay there just right in front of me, I felt like I had a shot at it.”
Hoffman opened the 56th annual World 100 weekend on Thursday by advancing from sixth to third in his heat race before improving another three positions in the preliminary feature, finishing fourth in the 25-lap event.
He followed that with another strong showing Friday during the second $12,000-to-win preliminary night. Hoffman finished third in his heat before matching that result in the feature, joining race winner Brandon Sheppard and runner-up Ricky Thornton Jr. on the podium.
On Saturday, Hoffman earned his spot in the World 100 finale by racing from sixth to second in his heat. Starting from the fifth row, he patiently worked his way through the field in the 100-lap crown jewel.
Hoffman briefly slipped outside the top 10 in the early stages before beginning his march toward the front. He moved into third on lap 82 and passed Ricky Thornton Jr. two laps later for second. When race leader Ryan Gustin suffered a mechanical failure on lap 89, Hoffman inherited the lead following the ensuing restart and pulled away to secure the $100,000 victory.
The significance of the victory wasn't lost on team owner Tye Twarog, who admitted afterward that he never imagined his team would reach this point.
“I would’ve never dreamed this,” Twarog said. “I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life, and this is unbelievable.”
In addition to the $100,000 payday, Hoffman was awarded a Rolex watch from Coltman Farms owner Brett Coltman for being the highest-performing driver between the 2026 Dirt Late Model Dream and World 100.
Saturday's victory marked Hoffman's 10th overall win of the 2026 season.

Hoffman will take this weekend off before returning to World of Outlaws Late Model Series competition Sept. 25-26 at I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway for the two-day King of the Arch.
