Dennis Erb, Jr. Fourth in King of the Arch Opener; Ready for FALS Frenzy

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team invaded the states of Indiana and Missouri from September 23-26 for a trio of high-profile events. On Wednesday evening at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana, the FloRacing Night in America Series rolled into the Hoosier State to preside over a $20,000 to win throwdown. Dennis Erb, Jr. went eighth quickest overall during qualifying prior to placing third in his loaded heat race. Dennis then flirted with a top five showing in the 50-lap headliner before crossing underneath the checkers in the sixth position.

Over the weekend, Dennis found himself in World of Outlaws Late Model Series action in the two-day ‘King of the Arch’ program at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri. On Friday night with a $12,000 top prize up for grabs, Dennis ran second in his heat race before climbing three spots to finish an impressive fourth in the 40-lap feature behind only victor Nick Hoffman, Bobby Pierce, and Tim McCreadie. In Saturday’s weekend finale at the St. Louis-area venue, which boasted a hefty $20,000 winner’s check, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race prior to moving past five competitors during the 55-lapper en route to an eleventh place performance.

Exiting the weekend, Dennis still sits ninth in the latest version of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings. Full results from all three races can be found online at www.floseries.com and www.woolms.com.

The #28 team will be in the pit area at Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois on October 2-3 for the annual running of ‘FALS Frenzy.’ Dennis will vie for the $5,000 payday later tonight in the MARS Racing Series weekend lid lifter, while Saturday’s finale will pay $10,000 to the winner. Watch each night of dirt-slinging action from FALS live on FloRacing. More information on the ‘FALS Frenzy’ weekend can be accessed by logging onto www.marsracingseries.com.
