Conley Motorsports, Inc. Invades Portsmouth Raceway Park Today for Fall 40
(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) The Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams rolled into Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio over the September 25-26 weekend for the 41st Annual 'Harvest 50.' Rod Conley was in the pit area on Friday night to vie for the $1,600 paycheck in the unsanctioned weekend opener. After timing in second fastest overall during qualifying and running second in his heat race, Rod landed on the podium in third after 25 circuits in the headliner to trail only victor Colten Burdette and runner-up Freddie Carpenter!
On Saturday evening, the American Late Model Iron-Man Series presided over the 'Harvest 50' weekend finale and a $5,000 winner's check was on the line. Rod placed third in his heat race, but an incident during the main event helped drop the Wheelersburg, Ohio standout to a fourteenth place showing. R.J. Conley grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race prior to vaulting to a respectable tenth place effort in the 50-lapper. Complete results from the 'Harvest 50' can be located online at www.imdirt.net.
Next up for the Conley brothers will be a short trip to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio later tonight, October 3.
