Dennis Erb, Jr. Lands on Podium at Fairbury; Set to Invade Wheatland for Fall Nationals
(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The annual running of 'FALS Frenzy' took place over the October 2-3 weekend at Fairbury Speedway and Dennis Erb Racing was in the pit area at the downtown Fairbury, Illinois venue. The MARS Racing Series doubleheader kicked off last Friday night with a $5,000 to win opener. Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in fifth quickest in Group B during qualifying before advancing to second in his heat race and third in the 40-lap feature to trail only victor Shannon Babb and runner-up Dylan Thornton!
At Fairbury on Saturday evening with a $10,000 paycheck up for grabs, Dennis stopped the clock sixth fastest in Group A during time trials before grabbing the third transfer spot through his stacked heat race. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then vaulted up inside of the top ten during the 50-lap headliner to leave FALS with a ninth place showing. The #28 team will follow the MARS Racing Series to the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri this weekend (October 9-10) for the annual running of the ‘Fall Nationals.’ The doubleheader, which is also serving as the MARS Championship Weekend, will kick off later this evening with a $5,000 to win throwdown. Saturday’s weekend finale in the Show-Me State will then boast a $10,000 top prize.
