R.J. Conley Celebrates in Victory Lane for Fifth Time in 2026; Halloween Nationals Next!
(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) R.J. Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, scored his fifth feature win of the 2026 campaign on Saturday night, October 24 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park! R.J. swept the weekly racing program at the Portsmouth, Ohio venue by clicking off the fastest lap overall during Super Late Model qualifying, winning his heat race, and later leading all twenty circuits in the main event. At the checkered flag, R.J. bagged the $2,000 first place prize money ahead of runner-up Kirk Phillips, Josh Bocook, Tripp Gerrald, and Avery Taylor!
His brother Rod Conley was in the Hoosier State over the October 23-24 weekend in a pair of events at Montpelier Speedway in Montpelier, Indiana. With a $2,000 payday up for grabs in Friday’s opener, Rod won his heat race prior to placing on the podium in third behind only victor Eric Wilson and runner-up Colin Shipley. In the $5,000 to win Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series contest on Saturday evening, Rod finished fourth in his stacked heat race before passing nine competitors during the 30-lap feature en route to a steady fourth place performance.
This upcoming weekend (October 30-31) will find the Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) teams at Portsmouth Raceway Park for the ‘Halloween Nationals.’ A $10,000 winner’s check will be on the line later tonight in the opener, while the doubleheader will conclude on Saturday with a huge $50,000 to win grand finale. Rod comes into the final races of the American Late Model Iron-Man Series season second in the point standings.
