Daniel Baggerly Survives County Line and VMS; Two More Ultimate Races Ahead
(RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA) Daniel Baggerly and the #16 B&B Motorsports team tackled an Ultimate Super Late Model Series doubleheader in the states of North Carolina and Virginia over the May 18-19 weekend. On Friday night at the County Line Raceway in Elm City, North Carolina, Daniel timed in tenth fastest in qualifying, which locked him into the outside of the fifth row in the 40-lap feature event. Unfortunately, Daniel was door slammed early in the $4,000 to win A-Main and suffered two left side flat tires. The Rural Retreat, Virginia native brought out a caution, got new rubber from his crew, and returned to the racetrack to salvage a fourteenth place finish from the tail of the field.
The Ultimate double-dip then took the #16 team to the pristine Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia on Saturday evening for the $10,000 to win 'Mid-Atlantic Spring Championship.' Daniel qualified eighteenth quickest in time trials and later finished fourth in his loaded heat race. Despite getting caught up in a pile-up during the 50-lap main event, "Bagz" soldiered on to finish thirteenth in the final rundown. Complete results from both weekend shows can be viewed online at www.ultimatesupers.com.
Two more Ultimate Super Late Model Series showdowns await the B&B Motorsports team over the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend. The 411 Speedway in Seymour, Tennessee will play host to a $4,000 to win / 40-lap program tonight, May 25, while the Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee will do the same on Saturday evening, May 26. Additional information concerning the Ultimate Super Late Model Series can be accessed by clicking on www.ultimatesupers.com.
Daniel would like to thank all of his 2012 sponsors including: En>Compass Solutions, Wythe Raceway, Emory & Henry College, RE Suspension, Albert Race Engines, Rocket Chassis, and J&J Race Cars.
