Bart Hartman Nabs Pair of Top Fives on Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour
(ZANESVILLE, OHIO) The 2 Brothers Motorsports team and Zanesville, Ohio ace Bart Hartman tackled a Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour doubleheader from June 22-24 in the Buckeye State. On Friday night, a $2,000 top prize was on the line in the 'Rob House Memorial' at the nearby Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio. Bart ran fourth in heat race action at MCS, which lined him up starting thirteenth on the grid in the A-Main. The popular driver known as the "Bartman" was then able to pick off nine competitors during the feature event to score a fourth place performance behind only winner Rick Aukland, Rex Slaughter, and Bobby Kitchen.
Following a day off on Saturday, the dirt-slinging action quickly switched to the Cannonball Motor Speedway in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday for a similar $2,000 to win Renegades of Dirt showdown. Bart finished second in his heat race and later climbed to second in the running order of the main event. Unfortunately, his left rear tire sealed over following a caution period and Bart slipped back to a third place effort behind only winner Rick Aukland and runner-up Kevin Morehouse. The #75 team is scheduled to take the June 29-30 weekend off from racing action. While their next race is currently unknown, the next Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour show will take Bart to the Elkins Raceway in Kerens, West Virginia on July 13. In fact, Bart will enter a trio of races that weekend, as the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia and the Cannonball Motor Speedway in St. Clairsville, Ohio will also play host to the cars and stars of the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour.
