Greg Lucas Prepares for Double Header Weekend

    July 31, 2012

Greg Lucas climbs back into the Revolution Chassis House Car for a double header weekend…Will also run GT Racing Modified at Lucky 7.

Hyden, Kentucky’s Greg Lucas will be busy this weekend as he competes at two tracks where he has had great success over the years. Greg will be making his second start in the Frank Revel & Kevin Ison owned Revolution Chassis House Car this coming Friday night at Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, Kentucky. On tap will be the Coalfields 40. The winner of the 40 lap late model feature will walk away with a cool $3,000. The following night will find the team unloading the Hatcher Auto Sales/Tim Logan Racing #1 a couple miles away in Colson, Kentucky, at Lucky 7 Speedway for the 3rd annual, $5,000 to win Coal Miners Classic. Greg won the inaugural Coal Miners Classic in 2010.

“I am really looking forward to these races” said Lucas from the GT Racing shop on Monday. “We took this past weekend off to get ready. There’s a lot of money on the line this coming Friday and Saturday so we wanted to be as prepared as possible. I really want to thank Frank and Kevin for the opportunity to drive their race car. We raced the Butterball Memorial at Richmond together and I was real happy with the car’s performance. Freddy (Smith) was supposed to drive the car and previous commitments took him out of town for the rain date, so the seat and steering were not quite where I am used to having them positioned. We have that all adjusted now and I should feel more comfortable. Frank really builds a nice race car and I am just honored to be able to drive it. I owe the crew and sponsors on the late model, a big thank you for making this possible” added Greg.

The weekend will not only find Greg and the team busy with the late model but plans are to enter the GT Racing, Pinetop Motors/Schaeffer Oil/Bill’s Marathon #32 modified also, on Saturday night.

“We had the modified at Richmond also, and went out and set Fast Time. “The guys up at 2 Brothers Motorsports in Ohio clipped the front for us after it was bent earlier in the year and the car was good. We are still learning the Shaw car and we just had it too tight in the feature. Todd, Mickey and everyone really work hard on this deal and I can’t thank them enough” stated Lucas.

Look for 2012 GT Racing/Greg Lucas T-Shirts to be available starting the weekend of August 11th & 12th wherever the #32 is racing.

Greg would like to thank all of his marketing partners:
Pinetop Motors, Bull Creek Rental, Days Racing Engines, Kentucky Farm Bureau of Leslie County, Big Valley Construction, Bills Marathon, K.R.S. Graphics, Kentucky Race Parts.com, Schaeffer Specialized Lubricants, Accu-Force Shock Dyno, Mosley Auto Parts, Expressions Floral & Gifts & David Wells Motorsports.
