Ryan VanderVeen secures first American Late Model Series/Michigan Dirt Cup victory
SIX LAKES, MICHIGAN- VanderVeen Brothers Racing with driver, Ryan VanderVeen, captured a career first over the weekend. On Friday night, VBR traveled to Mount Pleasant Speedway for an American Late Model Series and Michigan Dirt Cup sanctioned event. VanderVeen collected the preliminary checkers to earn a front-row starting spot in the 30 lap A-Main.
VanderVeen grabbed the lead at the drop of the green and lead all 30 laps en route to his first ALMS/MDC victory with a prize of $2,000. “It’s pretty exciting,†said VanderVeen. “We even made the Dirt on Dirt stories,†he exclaimed.
