Solid Weekend for Team Country Pleasin; Whynot Next
Star, Mississippi (09/12/12) – Team Country Pleasin' returned to action over the weekend with both Henry Cooper Jr. and Hunter Rasdon competing in the All American 50 at Jackson Motor Speedway.
It was back to business for Team Country Pleasin' on Saturday night as Henry Cooper and Hunter Rasdon entered the $5,000-to-win, All American 50 at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi). Thirty Super Late Models were on hand for the program, and Cooper began the night by blazing to the fastest time in his group and overall in his #14 Cooper's Country Meat Packers/Warrior/Vic Hill Racing Engine Super Late Model to lock into the pole position for the 50 lap feature. He was joined on the front row by Ray Moore, and the duo battled for the lead early in the event before the handle began to go away on Henry's entry, and he faded to an eleventh place finish.
Hunter Rasdon found himself struggling in time trials in his #r5 Warrior/Vic Hill Racing Engine Super Late Model, which relegated him in a b-main. A fourth place finish in his b-main transferred Rasdon to the twentieth starting spot for the 50 lap finale. Despite starting deep in the field Hunter advanced more positions than any other driver he raced his way forward twelve spots to an eighth place finish.
