Brady Smith Eyes Legendary 100 Following Trip to Grand Forks
(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) The Brady Smith Racing team invaded the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota on September 6-7 for the 7th Annual 'John Seitz Memorial.' On Friday night, Brady Smith won his heat race from the fourth starting spot and later wound up twelfth in the $920 to win Pole Dash. After starting the 'John Seitz Memorial' on Saturday from the outside of the sixth row, Brady was looking for his second straight win in the high-profile event and the $9,200 top prize. Unfortunately, Brady retired early from the 92-lapper after only 61 circuits when he was collected in a couple of different incidents and wound up nineteenth in the final rundown. Complete results from River Cities can be accessed by clicking on www.rivercitiesspeedway.com.
Next up for the #2 team will be the 8th Annual ‘Legendary 100’ on September 13-14 at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Preliminary action will take place at the 3/8-mile complex on Friday night, while the $5,000 to win headliner is scheduled for Saturday evening. Brady has picked up the winner’s check in the last two ‘Legendary 100’ feature events and will be looking for his third straight race title this weekend.
