R.J. Conley Takes Eighth Win of 2013 at PRP; Rod Conley Claims Track Championship!
(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) R.J. Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, racked up his eighth feature win of the 2013 racing season on Saturday night, September 28 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio! After setting fast time during qualifying and running fourth in the dash, R.J. overtook his Hall of Fame father Delmas Conley during the A-Main to score the $2,000 triumph. Delmas, who had won the dash to earn the pole position for the feature, wound up posting a strong second place finish behind R.J.'s #71c machine. Rod Conley was also in action at PRP, as he won his heat race in preliminary competition prior to climbing to a fifth place main event finish, which locked up the 2013 Late Model Track Championship. All three Conley Motorsports, Inc. teams will return to dirt-slinging competition this Saturday evening, October 5. Rod Conley is scheduled to venture to the nearby Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio for the 5th Annual ‘Black Jack & Farley Boggs Memorial,’ which boasts a $3,000 payday. Delmas and R.J. Conley, on the other hand, are slated to travel north to the newly-reopened Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio for an unsanctioned, $2,000 to win program on Saturday.
