Corinth, Mississippi (04/28/15) – 15-year-old, Bryant Marsh enjoyed a great outing in his Modern Woodmen #1 Subway/Trak-Star Crate Late Model on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park (Whynot, Mississippi), where he came away with a top five finish.
A stout field of 28 entries took part in the NeSmith Weekly Late Model Series Event, and Bryant started his night by qualifying ninth fastest. As a result he started sixth in his heat race before advancing to a third place finish.
Via his heat performance Marsh started sixth on the feature grid. He would go on to race his way to a fifth place finish behind race winner, Jimbo McDuffie, Terry Mosley, Tim Dees, and Casey Haney.
“It was really a huge confidence booster for me tonight at Whynot,†said Marsh. “I’m still learning the ins-and-outs of these cars, and to travel to a place like this for the first time and get a top five against such a tough field of racers is really big.â€
