Shane Clanton Shines at Shawano for $10k Payday; USA Nationals Next
Zebulon, Georgia (07/29/15) –Shane Clanton emerged victorious on Tuesday evening in his Weldbank Energy #25 Capital/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series (WoOLMS) at Shawano Speedway.
Traveling to Shawano Speedway (Shawano, Wisconsin) on Tuesday night, Shane Clanton looked to extend his advantage atop the World of Outlaws Late Model Series (WoOLMS) standings. Battling against a field of twenty-seven entries, Shane logged the 6th quickest time in time trials. Scoring a runner-up finish in his heat to Eric Wells, Clanton earned a 2nd place starting spot in the feature after the redraw. Holding off late race pressure from Earl Pearson Jr., Shane led all 50 laps capturing a $10,550 payday. Clanton cruised to his 13th victory of the season with Earl Pearson Jr., Jimmy Mars, A.J. Diemel, and Josh Richards trailing him to the finish line.
“Wow, what race that was here tonight,†said a relieved Clanton in victory lane. “There late in the race I couldn’t really steer through the middle of the corners, and I was afraid Earl (Pearson Jr.) would get me. Luckily I was able to stay out front and get another win. This is just an amazing season that we have going right now, and I want to thank my crew, sponsors, and fans for their great support.â€
