Ray Cook Preps for 27th Annual Gobbler Following Top Ten Boyd’s Effort
(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook and his #53 team traveled to Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Saturday evening, November 14 for the 'Turkey Throwdown.' The Southern Nationals Bonus Series presided over the single-day shootout at the Chattanooga-area facility and a $5,000 winner's check was on the line.
Ray clicked off the fourth quickest lap in his group during the qualifying session prior to scoring the win in his B-Main. After rolling off from the outside of the fourth row in the 50-lap headliner, the Brasstown, North Carolina ace hovered around the back part of the top ten throughout the distance before eventually netting a solid ninth place performance. Next up for Ray Cook Racing will be a visit to the historic Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee on November 20-21 for the 27th edition of the ‘Gobbler.’ The Southern Nationals Bonus Series will be back in competition at the southern Tennessee venue to sanction their season finale.
