Brandon Kinzer Prepares for STARS Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week Shows at Atomic
(ALLEN, KENTUCKY) Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team rolled into Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky on Saturday evening, July 23 for the 19th edition of the 'Pete Abell Memorial.' The Ultimate Battle of the Bluegrass Super Late Model Series presided over the single-day shootout at "The Pond" and a $3,000 paycheck was the focus of each of the 22 entrants on hand.
Brandon clicked off the third fastest lap in his group and overall during the qualifying session and later grabbed the third transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the 'Pete Abell Memorial' from the inside of the fifth row, BK was up to the seventh spot before unfortunate motor woes sent him pitside and relegated him to a disappointing twenty-first place performance. The Kinzer Motorsports team is now focused on a pair of STARS Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week specials scheduled for Atomic Speedway from July 27-30. A $3,000 payday will be on the line later tonight at the former K-C Raceway, while the miniseries finale will then be held at the Alma, Ohio facility on Saturday night. A $5,000 top prize will be up for grabs when the #18 team returns over the weekend. Additional information on both races this week can be found by clicking on www.starslm.com.
