    Ponderosa Speedway opens Friday night

After two consecutive Friday nights of rainouts, it looks like on April 29th, the Ponderosa Speedway, “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” will finally host stock car racing in central Kentucky for 2011. On the schedule for this week, the Modified division will run a $750 to win, 40 lap A-main feature along with a complete regular racing program.
Come out and you will see many changes in the Ponderosa Speedway racing program. All of them planned to benefit the drivers and the fans by improving the racing program, and making the stock car racing family oriented and fun again. Many other improvements are in the works for the future.
Our rules are designed to allow cars from the 3 local Saturday Night tracks to compete in one of our 6 exciting divisions at the Ponderosa Speedway. On a regular night, our Super Late Model division will pay a minimum of $1000 to win. We also have a Pro Late Model or Crate Series will pay 600 dollars to win. The Modified Division also pays $600 to win. The Sportsman Class will pay 300 dollars to win, the Street Stocks pay $150 to win and the 4 cylinder class will pay $75 to win.
The grandstand admission is $10 for adults, $5 for teens and children under 10 are free. We are trying to make racing affordable and make the Ponderosa Speedway your favorite local Friday Night track, so bring your race car, family and friends, and enjoy a great night of stock car racing. The Ponderosa Speedway is located at 365 Phillips Lane, Junction City, Kentucky.
