FASTRAK Triple Crown Race #2 PR & Broadcast Replay!!

"Wythe Excitement makes it 7 for 7 in FASTRAK Wins in 2012"
FASTRAK Racing Series PR - Rural Retreat,VA

After a very eventful Race #1 in the 6th Annual FASTRAK $30,000 Triple Crown series at Lawndale,NC's Cleveland Co...unty Speedway the Drivers, Teams & Officials and Fans who want the shot at $1,000 made the trip up to the famed 1/2 mile nestled in the Allageny Mountains Wythe Raceway where on a hot Saturday in the day turn into a Cool Temps for the ambiant temperatures but it got Hot on the track at night fall!! When it was all said and done the fans were treated with a super exciting conclusion which have all of the folks at FASTRAK begging for more when the final checkered flag fell!!

In a night that Fred Brown quoted "A perfect night, great weather, great racing and the best crowd of the year. I was very pleased with the outcome of this event for night #2 of the Triple Crown. FASTRAK Racing Series races are always a fan favorite here!!" After local favorite #99t Teddy Tate was your VP Race for the Pole Qualifying Winner and after the 2 Heat races were in the books which were won by #57 Woodruff,SC's Lee Cooper in Hoosier Race Tires Heat #1 and #7b Dan Breuer from Truotman,NC won the RockAuto.com Heat #2!! After the return of the widely popular "Rock Star" type feel Driver Introductions and the 4-wide salute to the fans it was time to go RACING in front of a packed crowd at Wythe Raceway!!

The start of the "Short Way Realty Race" was very eventful has it 3 times to get going after #27c Franklin was getting excited and jumping early. After the flagman Don Widener gave him the final warning the green flag fell and Race #2 of the FASTRAK $30,000 Triple Crown was underway but not for long as on the backshute #24 Tim Byrd hit the wall very very hard at the pit infield enterance. After an assortment of yellow flags that fell for single car spins with drivers then the use of using up to much rubber came into play or they were bumpin and bangin to hard that the crinkled up sheet metal was causing Hoosier rubber to go down. Has Umberger and Smith were involved in the "monkey on their back" drama last night at Lawndale,NC it followed them in the "Commonwealth State" as on lap #22 Brandon Umberger who was behind the wheel of the #44 of John Broce Jr.'s FASTRAK Late Model cut up in the wall in turn 2 wrinkled up the right rear quarter panel and then in exiting turn 4 he stalls as the Hoosier Tire went down from the contact. From the drop of the green flag til lap #27 "Hollywood" David Smith went to the front of the pack and never looked back but as I said TROUBLE cam with ironically 13 laps to go when while leading off turn 4 he cuts down a tire thus giving the lead to #27c Dennis "Rambo" Franklin and having the eventful beginning of the race he had at Wythe now had to hold off a hard charging Barry Wright of #9 "Flyin" Ryan Atkins for the finish but could he do it was the question??
