FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Event at Volunteer Speedway Postponed
Bulls Gap, Tennessee – With an 80% chance of heavy rain predicted over the next 24 to 36 hours by the National Weather Service for the Bulls Gap area FASTRAK and Volunteer Speedway officials have agreed to postpone round #3 of the FASTRAK City Chevrolet Toruing Division which was scheduled for Saturday night, April 21st. “It’s going to rain and it’s going to rain a lot. With that high of a percentage we waited as long as we could to make a decision but the forecast is just not improving. Nobody wants to get these races in any more than we do but with diesel fuel well over $4.00 a gallon in most areas it is just imperative to our teams and fans that we try to be good stewards of their entertainment dollars. And today the right decision is to reschedule to another date before everyone starts heading that way.†said FASTRAK Founder and CEO Stan Lester.
Discussions are continuing between series and track officials on a make-up date for the event. The date will be announced as soon as possible and should be no later than the afternoon of this Monday, April 23rd.
