Over $40,000 Dollars in Cash Up For Grabs in the Pro (crate) Late Model Nationals Next Week at Wythe Raceway
(Four Oaks,NC) Like the song from the famous British Rock band "Europe" from back in the 80's. Everyone from the "Nations First & Premier Pro Late Model Series in the Country" the FASTRAK Racing Series is humming the opening interlude jingle "The Final Countdown" in their head. Drivers, teams, sponsors and most of all race fans from all over the country will flock to the establishment Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat,VA for the 8th Annual Running of the Pro (crate) Late Model Nationals September 1 &2 and with now over $40,000 Dollars in cash up for grabs up it's gonna be one super exciting weekend to close out whats been ONE HOT SUMMER FOR FASTRAK!!
There has been alot of hype leading up to the Pro (crate) Late Model Nationals at the 1/2mile Wythe Raceway owned by two of the most respected Pioneers in the Dirt Racing universe Fred & Susan Brown who have kept the facility under operation as the only owners handling the track for 40+ years and theres no stopping them yet. They've had a long lasting relationship with Stan Lester whos vision created the FASTRAK Racing Series which is now in its 9th consecutive year of operation. Lester still tells the story like it was yesterday but was so long ago and laughs how the relationship began with Fred & Susan Brown and Wythe Raceway being FASTRAK Sanctioned for over 8yrs now was just luck and being lost. He was trying to find another race track and got lost along the way driving down the Interstate and surprisingly found a missing "Diamond" with the 1/2 mile Wythe Raceway nestled off I-81 in the Allegheny Mountains in the "Commonwealth" of Virginia. From there on the relationship & bond that FASTRAK Companies International. and Stan Lester has with Wythe Raceway's Browns at the helm as been more than special and exceeds to excel years after years working on the same page.
The Pro (crate) Late Model Nationals will pay $7,500.oo to Win and $750.oo to Start for the 80 Lap Feature Race on a Sunday night under the lights at Wythe to close out the summer of 2012. There has also been the announcement made that came from Fred Brown last Tuesday night on the FASTRAK Racing Series's Offical National Radio Show "FASTRAK Weekly LIVE" that Jason & Judy Short from Short Way Real Estate has also jumped on board to be apart of this spectacular racing weekend for all involved which jumps up the ante even more for this event that is building up more interests from fans as high as Canada. To the western part of the US in Missouri. To the Southern US way down to the Mississippi. THE WORD IS OUT ABOUT THIS ONE THIS IS HOW THE MONEY DISTRIBUTING WILL TAKE PLACE!!
The way the additional money will be distributed throughout the field will go as follows: $200 Dollars will be put up for grabbing the "VP race for the Pole Qualifying" Presented by Short Way Real Estate this will be awarded to the Driver that lays down the quickest lap around the 1/2 mile high banked facility. Then on Saturday night after the conclusion of pocketing $200 from Qualifying will come the chance to get $100 Dollars in one of the 4 Heat races. After the conclusion of the 4 heat races and another $400 dollars is handed out to the 4 Heat Winners then the 4 drivers will then battle it out "under the lights" for the FASTRAK Racing Series Main Event for Saturday in the Short Way $200 Dollar Dash 4 Cash. In addition to the Dash 4 Cash $200 Dollars to the winner it will also set up the first 2 Rows for Sunday night's 80 Lap Feature for $7,500 to WIN!!

The Format for the 2012 FASTRAK Pro Late Model Nationals at Wythe Raceway will kick off Saturday September 1st for Hot Laps (practice) followed by "VP Race for the Pole Qualifying" Presented by Short Way Real Estate and then the Heat Races (no-one is locked in from qualifying they will have to run heat races.) Followed also by the Dash 4 Cash for $200 to WIN!! DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE AFTER-RACE PIT PARTY SATURDAY NIGHT WITH ALL THE FASTRAK DRIVERS, TEAMS & OFFICIALS!!
On Sunday September 2nd the event will get under way with 2 B-Mains (consi races) which basically is the FINAL last chance to make it in to the BIG SHOW.
Once the 24 car field is set and Special Driver Introductions are complete the A-Main Feature race will consist of 80 laps Total Distance with the always exciting Double File Starts/Restarts. On Lap 40 when the field has cycled around for halfway the caution will be given to the field and the FASTRAK machines will then make they're Pit Stops on the front straight in front of the fans. Stan Lester will be calling out what the teams are doing to the cars, what adjustments they are making, shocks, air pressure, wedge, etc.
DRIVERS & TEAMS CAN DO ANYTHING THEY WANT TO THE CARS DURING THE PIT STOP BUT IF THEY CHANGE TIRE(S) THEY HAVE TO GO TO REAR OF LEAD LAP FOR THE RESTART!!
