Steve Blackburn, Steve Hendren & Jensen Ford Tuesday on FASTRAK Weekly LIVE
(Four Oaks,NC) Join us Tuesday at 7pm est for the "Fastest Hour on DIRT Radio" FASTRAK Weekly LIVE Presented by FK Rod Ends for the final preview of this weekend's 8th Annual PRO (crate) Late Model Nationals at the "Super Fast" 1/2 mile Wythe Raceway nestled in the "Commonwealth" of Rural Retreat,VA off of Exit 60 on I-81. Hyping up to be one spectacular racing weekend for the FASTRAK City Chevrolet Touring Division and also Non-Members as $7,500.oo Dollars is on the line when the checkers fall on Sunday night. FASTRAK Radio Network is excited to once again be apart of this historic racing weekend and will help get the party started tonight with the "Final Preview" to put the Countdown Clock in motion as it will be just 6 days away and ticking down til Saturday coming rapidly. Heres a quick sneak peek of whats on tonights August 27th line-up for the "Fastest Hour on DIRT Radio" beginning at 7pm est/6 pm cen you don't wanna miss.
The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series was on the "Grand-Strand" Saturday night with the return of the "Premier Touring Series of the Southeast" invading the 1/2 mile beautiful facility located in Madison,NC 311 Motor Speedway for a $4,000 to win battle that in the end saw #39 "The Hurricane" Steve Blackburn take down the checkerd flag on another great show at the track deemed "The DAYTONA of Dirt". Blackburn will be on the show as well as the official "Voice of the ULTIMATE Super Series" Tommy Tedder to discuss the 2nd Annual Terry Wiles/ Leon Setzer Memorial at 311 Motor Speedway!!
Another great race that has been added back on the calender is another 2nd annual Bill Hendren Memorial that is put on by his wife Bettie & son Steve Hendren which was an awesome event last year that payed $4,000 to the winner but after bonuses and contigency prizes came close to a $40,000 Dollar show. When the event was over the #29 Lazier Chassis of Rutherfordton,NC's Steve Hendren was victorious and had tears running downs his eyes in the most emotional win ever in his career thus far - In honor of his dad Bill Hendren. This year Steve Hendren is letting the "Rutherfordton Rocket" Ricky Weeks take the driving duties of the #29 FASTRAK Pro Late Model and is gonna focus more on then operations side of handling the event this year with FASTRAK's Stan Lester & Kelley Carlton as well as Tami Mullis from Cleveland County Speedway & Motorsports Complex which will be the host facility for the 2nd year in a row for this event paying $4,000 Dollars to the winner and is already building bonuses as well. Steve Hendren will be on the FK Rod Ends Hotline to give all the listeners an update on the show less than one week away next Friday night September 7th.
Finally we'll talk to the driver of the #83 TNT House car based out of Piney Flats,TN "Kid Dynamite" Jensen Ford about the upcoming Pro Late Model Nationals this weekend at Wythe Raceway. Ford has dominated the last two FASTRAK Pro Late Model weekly shows up there leading to the PLMN this weekend and is also the defending Track Points Champion for the FASTRAK Pro Late Models at Wythe Raceway in 2011. He's got alot of competition to face head on this weekend for the $7,500.oo to win show on Sunday night. However alot of spectacles out there believe that he can be the man to get it done with the momentum he's had winning the last two races. We'll get his own thoughts about this weekend.
