    Chip Brindle wins first ever STARS Volunteer Racing Series event on his home turf at North GA

    CHATSWORTH, GA (April 9, 2011)--The STARS Volunteer Racing Series rolled into Timmy Millwood's North Georgia Speedway for the first stop of 2011.

    In dominating fashion, Chip Brindle of Chatsworth, GA led all 40 laps for his first career STARS Volunteer Racing Series presented by Arizona Sport Shirts win on Saturday Night April 9, 2011. Brindle held off fast moving Billg Ogle Jr. in the final laps as he worked his way through lapped traffic to take the win in his home town in front of a great Saturday Night crowd.

    Brindle also broke Ronnie Johnson's record of consecutive STARS VRS wins at North Georgia Speedway as Johnson won all four series events at the Speedway in 2010.

    Finishing behind Brindle at the line was Ogle, Jonathan Davenport, Gary McPherson and Ronnie Johnson. Brindle drove his Norman Bryson owned Clements powered Barry Wright # 21B to victory lane which is sponsored by Bryson Motorsports, Simpson Race Products, FK Rod Ends and Renegade Fuels.

    The next STARS Volunteer Racing Seriesw by Arizona Sport Shirts events will be a double header on May 6 at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, GA and May 7 at Tazewell (TN) Speedway, both events pay $3,000 to the winner.

    Since the B Hobby division fell through, I sure would love to see the return of the Econo Hobby Class!!!

      I too would like to see that happen it is not too late as the season is just starting we would be back in a heartbeat !!!!!
