Huge wreck on the start of the race. Outside pole sitter Jason Trammell didn't fire as quickly as pole sitter Eric Jacobsen. Steve Casebolt tried to duck under Trammell that sent Trammell spinning. That collected Vic Hill who almost rolled over. The track was almost blocked and most of the field was involved in some way. The decision was made between Tazewell owner Gary Hall and VRS director Chris Tilley to let the limited late models race while the VRS cars had a little time to fix their cars and see if they could race. That was to prevent a 5 or 6-car race. All but 3 cars returned. Jacobsen and Hill checked out and the rain came to force and early end to the race. Another typical night at Tazewell.
