    $5,000 To Win 34th Coca-Cola Tn Memorial - Cleveland Speedway - May 21st

    Cleveland, TN (5/14/11) The 34th Annual Coca-Cola Tennessee Memorial Race is coming up Saturday, May 21st at Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, TN. The event will pay $5,000 to win and $300 to start for Southern All Stars Super Late Models.

    This historic event has seen its fair share of exciting finishes among some of the sport’s elite stars. Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN is the defending race winner. Other recent winners include Jimmy Owens (’09 and ’08) Shane Clanton (’07) Jonathan Davenport (’06) Dale McDowell (’05) and Clint Smith (’04).

    A host of local, regional and national competitors are expected to once again embark on Monty Morrow’s Cleveland Speedway for this very special event designed to honor the nation’s veterans and fallen heroes in advance of Memorial Day coming up at the end of the month.

    Drivers expected to appear include series contenders, William Thomas of Phenix City, AL, Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Tommy Kerr of Maryville, TN, David Payne of Murphy, NC, Todd Morrow of East Ridge, TN, Steve Smith of Powell, TN, Mike Weeks of Friendsville, TN, Skip Arp of Georgetown, TN, Riley Hickman of Cleveland, TN, Tony Knowles of Tyrone, GA, Brian Reece of Sharpsburg, GA, Kayne Hickman of Soddy Daisy, TN, Jeff Franklin of Ten Mile, TN and Dwayne Treadwell of Hogansville, GA.

    They will battle with the likes of Randy Weaver of Crossville, Shane Clanton of Locust Grove, GA, Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA, Clint Smith of Senoia, GA and many other drivers from throughout the southeast for the title of 2011 Coca-Cola Tennessee Memorial Champion.

    Local divisions in action on the twenty-first include Limited Late Model, Hobby, Pony and Front Wheel Drive. Pit gates will open at approximately 4pm with drivers meeting set for around 6:30pm with hot laps to follow.
