Southern Regional Racing Series Press Release:
This event will have a twist. The SRRS will be co-sanctioning an event on July 2nd with the STARS MDRL. The two series will go head to head at Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, KY.
This event is the 2nd Annual Roger Breeding Memorial event paying $3,000 to win / $300 to start for the STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League Late Models.
The event will feature a full slate of Practice, Group Time Trials, Heat Races, Consolation Races and the 40-lap main event. Also on the racing card will be the Open Wheel Modifieds, Bombers and 4-Cylinders. A fireworks show is expected to light up the night sky during intermission as well. A rain date has been announced just in case of inclement weather for Sunday Night July 3rd. Each series will receive two (2) series starting provisional spots to fill the 22-car field.
The Pit and Granstand Gates will open at 4:00 p.m.
Driver’s Meeting set for 7:00 p.m.
Hot Laps shortly after which will be around 7:30 p.m.
The Tire Rule for the Mountain Motor Speedway event is Open Front with the Rear tires being Hoosier LM40/1600 or the American Racer MD56 and those tires must punch 60 prior to qualifying or any race. Steel Block engines must weigh 2200 lbs. minimum and Open Engines must weigh 2300 lbs. minimum with a pound per lap burn-off in all races. The STARS MDRL Entry Fee is $40.00 for members and $50.00 for non-members. Officials from MDRL and SRRS will be handling race direction that night.
