Southern Ohio Speedway moves Test N' Tune to July 9th
WHEELERSBURG, OH-The Test N' Tune originally scheduled for Friday, July 8th, has been pushed back one day to Saturday, July 9th. The reasoning is so the track prep crew will have an additional day to work on the racing surface.
"Our biggest issue so far has been the sheeps foot roller", stated SOS co-promoter T. J. Layne. "We have had machine shops working since mid-May to repair the sheeps foot that came with the track, but we found out that work wouldn't be completed in time so we have purchased another sheeps foot. We won't get the sheeps foot at the track until Thursday afternoon, so track prep crews will need an additional day to get the race surface ready for Test N' Tune."
"Pushing things back the additional day will make for a much better track surface for Test N' Tune. With as dry as things are, pushing things back to Saturday won't only give us an extra day of grading and rolling the track, it will also give us an additional
day of watering the track. We have said many times that we won't open the track until it's right, so we feel like everything will be good to go for Test N' Tune on Saturday."
Gates will open on Saturday at 3:00 pm with practice running from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Practice may be extended an additional hour depending on car count and the progress on the track lighting work. General admission is FREE with pit passes only

The official reopening race of the Southern Ohio Speedway will be on Friday, July 15th with the "Southern Showdown". On the card will be the ADRA Late Model Series paying $3,000 to win as well as the Modifieds paying $3,000 to win. The Modifieds
will also have a $400 to win non-qualifiers race. Bombers will be on the card as well racing for $400 to win. General admission will be $15 with pit passes $30. For more information visit www.southernohiospeedway.com.
