Southern All Stars - Boyd's/Cleveland - Doubleheader This Weekend - 'Nuff Said

    WE'LL SAY IT ANYWAY!

Ringgold, GA / Cleveland, TN (7/11/11) Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia and Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee will each play host this weekend to the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series for two big nights of racing and a total of $37,000 up for grabs.

The Richard and Robert Harvey owned Boyd's Speedway in Georgia will first feature a forty-lap, four-thousand to win main event on Friday night July 15th and then it's literally 20 miles north on I-75 to Monty Morrow's Cleveland Speedway in Tennessee for a fifty-lap, five-thousand to win main event on Saturday night July 16th.

These events will mark the seventh and eighth events on the 2011 and twenty-ninth season of the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series which has a hot points battle brewing among at least six drivers so far with two additional cars still within striking distance of the leaders in the points chase.

William Thomas of Phenix City, Alabama has led the series points chase for most of the 2011 season and continues to maintain the lead by 60 markers over David Payne of Murphy, North Carolina; Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, TN is 64 points back in third and Tommy Kerr of Maryville, TN is 74 points back in 4th while Brian Reese rounds out the top five, 138 points behind the leader. Tony Knowles and Shane Clanton are still within striking distance in sixth and seventh respectively while Chad Ogle and Ray Cook round out the top ten.

For gate times and ticket prices, log onto to each tracks websites at: www.BoydsSpeedway.net or www.ClevelandSpeedweay.com. The series website address is: www.SouthernAllStarsRacingSeries.com

Thanks for lettin' us use your ID there 'Nuff Said.

I do want to correct something for those out-of-towners. It's actually 20 miles between the two tracks and not twenty exits as previously mentioned. The tracks are much closer than twenty exits apart. Boyd's is at Exit 1 while Cleveland is at Exit 20 off of I-75 if we're getting technical here.

Both venues currently making preparations for the Big Doubleheader this weekend. Expecting a stout filed at both tracks.
