    $7,700 To Win Super LM, $2,500 410 Sprint, $2,400 FASTRAK at Dog Hollow July 15 & 17!

    (Mars, PA) Dog Hollow Speedway gears up for one of its biggest weekends of racing ever this Friday, July 15 and Sunday, July 17 with the “Mid-Summer Championships” and UFo “Connor Bobik 100.” Super Late Models will compete for $7,700 total to win and FASTRAK Pro-Lates will compete for $2,400 total to win over the 2 days. The UFo “Connor Bobik 100” on Sunday is a full-power event, with the debut of the 410 Outlaw Sprint cars at Dog Hollow paying $2,500 to win.

    Super Late Models will compete for $2,500 to win on Friday July 15 in the “Mid-Summer Championships.” Then on Sunday, July 17, the UFo Super Late Models will compete for $4,000 to win. Due to the strong race team support of UFo events in 2011, the start money for Sunday’s UFo event has been increased to $400 with non-qualifiers will receive $150. The 2 highest combined finishers from both features will receive bonus money of $1,200 for 1st and $500 for 2nd. Last year’s UFo event at Dog Hollow had a car count of 42 Super Late Models.

    Joining the UFo Super Late Models on July 17 will be the 1st-ever appearance of the Outlaw 410 Sprints at Dog Hollow. These winged monsters will be racing for $2,500 to win and $200 to start. With Dog Hollow’s central location, a strong field of Outlaw Sprint drivers is expected to invade the racey, 4/10 mile.

    The FASTRAK Pro-Late Models will compete in a $700 to win on Friday July 15 and then $1,000 to win on Sunday, July 17. The highest 2 combined finishers from both features in this class will receive $700 for 1st and $400 for 2nd.

    100 total feature laps will be run in the UFo “Connor Bobik 100” between the 3 divisions on Sunday, July 17. The UFo Super Late Models will race in a 45-lap championship, the 410 Outlaw Sprints will go 30 laps and the FASTRAK Pro-Lates will race 25 laps.

    An additional bonus has recently been announced for Super Late Model and FASTRAK Pro-Late teams at Dog Hollow. The Super Late Model feature winners from Friday July 15 and Sunday July 17 will be guaranteed starters in the track’s World of Outlaws $8,000 to win race on Tuesday July 26. The winner of the FASTRAK Pro-Late feature on July 17 will also be a guaranteed starter on July 26.

    The payoff for the UFo Super Late Models for the “Connor Bobik 100” 45 lap feature at Dog Hollow will be: 1st-$4,000 2nd-$1,800 3rd-$1,200 4th-$1,000 5th-$800 6th-$700 7th-$600 8th-$550 9th-$525 10th-$500 11th-$475 12th-$450 13th-$440 14th-$425 15th-$410 16th-$400 17th-$400 18th-$400 19th-$400 20th-$400 21st-$400 22nd-$400 23rd-$400 24th-$400. $150 paid to all cars that DNQ that make 1 lap on the track under their own power. UFo Race Championship events have NO car entry fee and NO driver membership fees. $1,200 1st place bonus and $500 2nd place bonus to the 2 highest combined Super Late Model finishers at Dog Hollow on July 15 and 17.

    Pit gates will open at Dog Hollow on Sunday July 17 at 3:30 with grandstands opening at 4:30. Warm-ups will be at 7:00 followed by racing at 7:30.

    Admission for the UFo “Connor Bobik 100 “ on July 17 is only $20 for the grandstands, $8 for junior 12-15, $2 for children 5-11 and $45 for a family pass. All pit tickets are $38 on Sunday. On Friday, July 15, pit gates open at 5:30, grandstands at 6:00 and racing at 7:30. Ticket prices for July 15 are $15 for the grandstands, $5 for junior 12-15, $2 for children 5-11 and $35 for a family pass. All pit tickets will be $30 on Friday. Rain date for the UFo “Connor Bobik 100” is Sunday, July 24.

    UFo and ULMS will clash for the 1st time in 2011 at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 23. The UFo vs. ULMS “F-2 Shockwave” will pay $4,000 total to win for twin 28-lap features.

    The twin feature format and PPMS’s wide, racey surface has always generated spectacular racing action. Davey Johnson and Michael Davis spilt the UFo wins at the track at the “PENNational” in June. The FASTRAK Pro-Lates will race for $550, E-mods for $450 and Cadets for $350 with open brand tire rules in the Super Late Models, E-mods and Cadets that night. The Hobby & Young Guns will also be in action.

    At PPMS on July 23, gates open at 5:00 with warm-ups at 6:00 and racing at 7:00 following track prep. Grandstands will be $20, seniors $19, junior 13-16 $10, children 7-12 $5 and $35 for all pit tickets.

    The UFo Race Championship is an event marketing alliance among independent supertracks in the PA-WV-MD region. Participating speedways presents their own championship Super Late Model events under the UFo banner throughout the season using common tech and procedure rules with a year-end, group funded, point bonus for the top finishing drivers on the tour.
