I agree. We didn't have anything to do with other division scheduling. As part of the agreement that is left up to each individual tracks promoter.

Local guys just drew and ran a feature. Without them you would have had just as much down time in between late model stuff. It rained at 9:30 with the lm feature about to stage. I don't see any issue here other than bad luck. Without rain the LM feature is done by 10:30. What else you need?Originally posted by schaefferoilguy View PostI agree. Track was as good as it's been this year that I've seen.

They were rushing the late model guys to get out there trust me. I am very impressed with North Georgia Speedway and I usually go to dixie. Funny thing is I still see timmy millwood riding around!

Racing that they got in was great and track was in great shape. Would have been one heck of a main. Sure wish they would have got it in. We left and went 8 minutes down the road and the rain stopped. Didnt see another drop til we got home (Cartersville). Support classes was just enough to let the SLM guys get their cars ready. Only thing they may could have changed would be the amount of laps that support classes ran. Anyway... cant wait til Rome.Last edited by JJinGA; 07-14-2011, 10:49 PM.GO #L7, #66 & #11

Hobby ran their feature and Stock pony also. Modified pony was out on the track about to race and it started raining so they called off the mods and called the supers out. It rained for about 30 minutes before they called it.

Nothing, everbody just sat around and drank beer, then played a little poker waiting on it to rain.Originally posted by upaginit in North GA View PostWhat did they do the first 2 hours?
What do you think they did? Hot laps, qualified, and ran heats/consy races for supers, and hot laps and features for local guys. It's not like you can just go straight from qualifying to heats to feature. You got to have a few minutes to adjust stuff. That's all the time the local guys took up. Without them being there, the end result would have been the same.
Racing was very good. Davenport got to second early in his heat, challenged for the lead, then Ellis got back by and started to work on the f9, but Frnak held him off. All the while the 5 was coming to see them on the bottom but ran out of laps.
Aaron, Bradsher, and Vic Hill had a good battle for a little while for 2-4 early in the second heat.
Prep it just like that again Monday night boys.

time
You have time between qualifying, consi's to adjust stuff. Why 3 classes? If they would have started, they would have got it in. Lucky, they are making it up. Most of the time this schedule would have been so tight, no make-up.
Then you would be playing poker and drinking beer!

upaginit in North GA- its apparent you werent there so i cant see how you can say they had time between the qualifying & heats to do anything. you have to realize the series staff also need the time to get the line up set. the show last nite was ran real smooth and everything was good until Mother Nature decided to put a kink in it.Have Camera, Will Travel
