that the reason Dixie and Rome only gets the local guy, if you ran super late 10 years ago you can't race, man i guess they just don't want create races like Jeff Smith, Rick Hixon, Ronne Johnson, and Jason Welshsome. you know all of these guys are putting on big shows at alot of tracks in the North Ga/Tenn. area. And most of the guys from Dixie/Rome run in the back when they come up this way, I guess its the junk tires you guys have to run.

This is just a more laps and more money race for the weekly crate class. It is not a touring series race. Outsiders are welcome but you have to meet the weekly Dixe rules. The no late model drivers rule is no current super late model drivers stepping down a class to run this race. Not somebody who ran late model once upon a time 10 years ago.

Dixie's rules doesnt say you can run Crate if you drove late models 10 years ago. They decide if you can run in crate or not. Ask Jody Summerville. He had been out of racing for a number of years and came back driving a crate car and then suddenly Dixie makes this rule. Here is the rule copied & pasted from the Dixie rule book:

Established Late Model Driver’s are not allowed to race the Crate Late Model Division. Dixie Speedway reserves the right to decide who is or is not an established late model driver.
