40th Annual 4-State Dirt Track Championships this Sunday
MONETT, Mo. (August 30) - This Sunday September 4th the Monett Speedway in Monett, MO will host the 40th Annual 4-State Dirt Track Championships featuring the popular MARS DIRTcar Series.
The MARS Series will bring the top late model drivers from the Midwest for this $4,000 to win event. With only four MARS races left on the schedule for the 2011 season, current point leader Brad Looney of Republic, MO hopes to increase his slim 37 point lead over second place, and MARS most recent winner, Jesse Stovall of Galena, MO.
This race is the biggest race of the year for the Monett Speedway. Also known at the Grand Ol' Lady, the Monett Speedway is celebrating it's 41st year of continuous weekly racing action. Get there early as this race is always a sell-out. Grandstand Gates will open at 5:00pm. Hot laps will be at 7:00pm with racing scheduled to begin at 7:30pm. Adult admission is $20, Juniors 12 - 15 is $5 and Kids 11 and under are FREE.
