Chris Wall Wins Appliance Zone Fan Vote!

...It was made official today by Appliance Zone that Chris "Intimagator" Wall did win the fan voting section of the sponsorship contest. Since Jimmy Owens [race points winner] withdrew his name from the competition, the contest has now shifted to Don Oneal and Chris Wall. The winner will be announced at the November Lucas Oil banquet.

My guess would be that he has other sponsors signed up for next year. I'm sure that part of the deal for the Appliance Zone sponsorship is that they have to get the primary space on the cars, and maybe Jimmy didn't want to give one of his other sponsors the boot for Appliance Zone.

Maybe Owens isn't running the Lucas series next year is the reason he withdrew? I believe the sponsorship requires running the Lucas series full time.
