Hope he can come up with more races, it won't take but about a hour and a half to run that, if that's all that's running.

This format MIGHT get me back down there. They don't need anything other than Late Models. This part I specifically like: Unsanctioned - OPEN BRAND / COMPOUND TIRE RULE
            43 races this year.
Tulsa Expo- 5, Volusia- 3, Bubba Raceway- 3
Dillon Speedway- 1, Myrtle Beach Speedway-1, Hickory Speedway- 1
Southern National- 1, Lincoln Speedway-2, Williams Grove Speedway-2, Indiana State Fairgrounds-1
Anderson (Indiana) Speedway-1, Indianapolis Motor Speedway- 1
            Bloomington Speedway-1, Lawrenceburg Speedway-1
            Kokomo Speedway- 1, Port Royal-1, Limaland- 1

I like the LM only format, especially because it's so freakin cold as previously mentioned. The people who go there only want to see Late Models. I'll be there for both races before we head down to Eastbay.

I have brought a small cooler and heater every year. GIS has been real good about that over the years.

I see Flagone has changed his post also, but if you read Lloyd21's post, it says the Limited Sportsman will also race, so it is not just SLM's.

Frankie decided to add one support class to try to ensure there are no dead times on the track. We will still be done plenty quick.

I was really hoping this event would be Super Late Model only. Like dirtfan2757 said, 95% of the people at this race don't want to sit even longer in the cold to watch a support class that can't go 3 consecutive laps without a spin or wreck.

I've never understood why Golden Isles doesn't run after Volusia when the temperatures should be warmer. Some people in the past have said that more teams equipment would be used up and some would but some teams don't even go to Eastbay anymore and just go straight to Volusia. Don't think there equipment would be as used up as some would think. Plus some people's cars aren't ready when it's time to come to Golden Isles.

So they are running clip cars and not NLMS as the supporting class?
Crew Chief "Tip of the day":
Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.
