Tazewell Speedway releases 2012 schedule

Tazewell, Tennessee – Tazewell Speedway has announced its schedule for the 2012 racing season. The schedule is jam-packed with events from April to October.
Following two open practice sessions on March 31 and April 7, the season gets under way on Saturday, April 14 with a full racing program featuring Tazewell Speedway’s five racing divisions – Tazewell (steelhead) Late Models, modified street, pure street, classic cars, and four cylinders. The highlights of the schedule are the visits by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series on Saturday, April 28 and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Friday, June 1.
Other special events for the super late models include the finale for Ray Cook’s Shaeffer Oil Southern Nationals Series on Saturday, July 28 and the 4th annual Buddy Rogers Memorial 44 on Sunday, September 2.
The Tazewell Late Models will get their own set of special events throughout the 2012 season. A $3,000 to win race is set for Tuesday, July 3. The 2nd annual Fall Rumble will pay $2,000 to the winner on Saturday, October 6.
The American Modified Series will make two visits to the 1/3-mile Tazewell Speedway. A pair of $3,000 to win races will take place on Saturday, June 30 and on Friday, August 26.
There are also several events and activities for the kids throughout the season along with one of the most exciting weekly racing programs in the area.
