    Charles Trammell Memorial kicks off 2012 season at Tazewell Speedway

    (Tazewell, Tennessee) - Tazewell Speedway is set for another racing season to begin on March 24 with the 3rd annual Charles Trammell Memorial. This year's event will be a $2,000 to win, $200 to start race for the Tazewell Late Models. Also as part of the program will be a $1,200 to win crate late model race, the modified streets, and classic cars. The Tazewell Late Models will will have a $50 entry fee and the crate late models will have a $25 entry fee. All races are non-point race and the crate race will be the only appearance for the class at Tazewell this season. Ticket prices and other information are coming soon.     Is a tazwell late model a super late model or a limited steelhead type?

      Tazewell Late Models are steelhead. Crates can run with them as long as they pay the entry fee.

          Will Tazewell be using their regular steelhead rules or will they using the 411 rules that allow roller cams,titanium valves,big bore short stroke for this race ?

              Engines 602 (2200 lbs) and 604 (2350 lbs) only. Must be sealed NeSmith or Fastrak. NeSmith motors must meet NeSmith specs and Fastrak motors must meet Fastrak specs.

              GASOLINE OR RACING GAS ONLY. The specific gravity of E85 may not exceed .750. Protest fees will be $25. – NO METHANOL, OR ALCOHOL - NO NITROUS OXIDE. NO PROPYLENE OXIDE, OR CHEMICAL ADDITIVES.

              Fastrak and NeSmith Body Rules

              Spoiler 8 inch only.

              Tires: Any tire. Must punch 38 (NO tolerance) on rear only. Open fronts.

              Late Model:

              Add 50 lbs for Dry Sump on any motor combination 411 or Tazewell Rules

              Tazewell Engine Rule ( Engine Only Change Base Weight 2200#

              Crate Engine : 604 12 inch Spoiler , No Weight Rule
              : 602 12 inch Spoiler , 12x32 Left Side Board : No Weight Rule
              Crate Engines must be sealed : GM : Nesmith : Fastrak : any other Seals Call before you Haul

              411 Late Model 2011 Engine Rule : Base Weight 2300#
              o Add 50 lbs for Roller Cam and Add 50 lbs for Titanium Valves

              NO BIG BORE SHORT STROKE MOTORS
