LAMAR SCOGGINS TAKES NORTH GEORGIA 2012 LLM OPENER
Chatsworth/Dalton, GA (4/01/2012) --- In the wee hours of the morning Sunday April 1st, Late Model Veteran Lamar Scoggins (# 32) of Georgetown, Tennessee kicked off his 2012 season with a win at North GA Speedway in the LLM division. The 20 lap / $800 to-WIN feature was dominated by the "M&S Motors, Chattanooga Auto Auction, Chambers Equipment Sales, Bodies by Rick Hixson Fabrication" GRT / Race Engine Design powered team much like last years August route in the Topless-30 LLM special event. The races were delayed by a rain-storm Saturday by over two hours, but NGS promoter Keith Ellis kept with the program and delivered some action packed feature events. Scoggins qualifyied on the pole out of an estimated 20-something competitors. This weekend Scoggins will be debuting the first race of the season at his home track as the Cleveland Speedway kicks-off the 2012 season with the SHAMROCK event. Saturday's LLM/Crate event pays $1,500 to-WIN along with the running of the S.A.S series and A & B Hobby divisions.
