    Clinton County Speedway

We will reopening the track this Friday Night April 27th. Pits open @ 4:00 PM CST, Racing begins @ 7:00 PM CST. We will be doing things differently at the track this time. Our purse will consist of 100% of the pit gate. We will pay 1st thru 4th position and the rest of the drivers will receive a free pit pass for the next race.
    The entry fees per person:
    Late Models $30.00
    Open Wheels $30.00
    Super Dirts $20.00
    4 cyl $20.00

    $10.00 grandstand admission

We are going to try things this way and see how it goes. We have received calls from different drivers wanting the track to reopen and are hoping that things work out.
    Any questions call 606-688-2360

I love this track and wish it the best of luck but I think it's gonna take a lot to jumpstart this track and get it running well. I would suggest focusing on the mods and street stocks heavily in the beginning then work in more late model shows but I'm not exactly the best at bringing a track back to life. Hopefully you guys can pull out a miracle though.

This guy has single handedly RUINED this track. From the great lightpole incident to runnin the leaser off last year. The only difference between genius and ignorance is a genius has limitations.

After thinking about this all week, I've come to the conclusion that unless you offer a guaranteed payout to a set minimum of cars, this will never work. If you seriously want the track to succeed, guarantee money.

I bet half the drivers won't show up after the first week of not getting paid. We can't roll our cars out the trailer for nothing

Exactly. Nobody is going to show up to race for $150 and only getting a pit pass for starting. And unless you get a huge field of cars, the purse is going to be extremely low. To run a track, you have to have cars and fans. More cars bring more fans so you've got to get more cars to make this work. The only way to get more cars is guarantee a certain amount (if a certain number of cars show up)
