Tazewell Speedway welcomes World of Outlaws April 28

Tazewell, Tennessee – Tazewell Speedway welcomes the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by Rusty Wallace Cadillac-GMC-Kia of Morristown for an exciting one-night racing program on Saturday. April 28. With $10,000 on the line, the race is expected to draw some of the nation’s best to the high banks of Tazewell Speedway.
Darrell Lanigan of Union, Kentucky leads the WoOLMS point standings heading into Tazewell. Lanigan has already scored two wins on the young season. He leads Josh Richards by 36 points and defending series champion Rick Eckert by 54 points. Shane Clanton, 2010 Tazewell WoOLMS race winner, and Chub Frank round out the top five in series points. Tim McCreadie, Clint Smith, Vic Coffey, Bub McCool, Pat Doar, Mike Marlar, Brandon Sheppard, and John Lobb are other series regulars.
A number of top drivers from across the region and the nation will be trying to take the big money from the World of Outlaws regulars. Jimmy Owens of Newport, Tennessee, defending race winner Chris Madden, former Tazewell Speedway winner Brad Neat, Vic Hill, Billy Ogle Jr., track record holder Steve Smith, and others will make their way to Tazewell Speedway.
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by Rusty Wallace Cadillac-GMC-Kia of Morristown event will consist of a full racing program including time trials, heat races, consolation races, and the 50-lap main event.
Also on the racing program for April 28 will be the modified streets, fur cylinders, and classic cars.
Tickets for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by Rusty Wallace Cadillac-GMC-Kia of Morristown are $26 for adults, children 9 and under are free. Pit passes are $38. Pit gates open at 2:00 and grandstand gates open at 4:00. Racing will begin at 7:30.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
