The problem with the mods from what i heard last nite. This is not my opinion, this was overheard lasrt nite. Pit pass 60x4 people + 30 entry fee + 100 fuel + 125 for 1 new tire. Thats at least 500 and thats not fuel to and from track for 2 nites plus food. Now lets say u finished 6th and get 175. Congrats you have lost at least 400. Most mod teams dont have sponsors or big money budgets, they cant lose that much and race long. Theirs your answer. Again this was overheard. I dont own or want to own a car. I agree Brandon is taking a big risk, and I will be there both nites, but he should have had a regular show for mods and run them both nites.

That is not big money. Add it up, it pays less than 2 regular shows. Most regular shows pay 600 300 200 150 125 100 and 75 to start. Some tracks pay better. It is more to get in than a regular show plus a 30 dollar entry fee.We have to weigh out our cost to race verse our winnings and this race dont add up.Also take in to account that he has cut the purse at least the winner of the mods in 2 of the last 3 or 4 nights he has raced. Lake Cumberland also has a different tire rule than all other Central Ky race tracks which means that we have to buy extra tires and wheels to qualify and run in the heats. Qualifying is too important there not to have soft tires with you, because if you dont start on the outside front row, you dont have much of a chance to win most nights.
