R.I.P. Bob Memmer

8 years ago today we lost one of the best men of the sport of dirt late model racing... the founder of United Midwestern Promoters, Mr. Bob Memmer.

As we contest the UMP Summer Nationals, the brainchild of this man, lets take a minute to pause and reflect on his dedication to his sport we all love!

Bob was way ahead of his time with some of his out of the box thinking, and because of that we enjoy the sport today like we do!

GODSPEED to you Bob, a real friend of auto racing!

I use to not be very receptive of ol Bob's ideas but after the way things have evolved with UMP's running since Bob's passing ............I can truly say I miss Bob Memmer and i'm quite sure that there is a many more people that feel just the same as I . I can still see Bob and the dog sittin in his old van at Barren County Speedway like it was yesterday . We miss you and RIP Bob Memmer !
