    Huge Skidmore Memorial Weekend Announced

Due to Mother Nature giving us two failed attempts of racing at Elkins Raceway, track officials have came up with a new plan. The weekend of August 10-11 will give area fans something they have been wanting for a long time, 2 days, back to back of racing. on Friday night August 10, Elkins Raceway will present a $2,000 to win Jenkins Ford Super Late Model show with the winner being guaranteed a starting spot in Saturdays Skidmore Memorial. The Budweiser Edge Crate class will race for $1,000 to win, with regular racing in all other divisions, Also on the card will be the gigantic fireworks display from June 29.

Then on Saturday the 2nd annual Richard Skidmore Memorial for the Jenkins Ford Super Late Models with $7,500 going to the driver that can out run the local and travelling hot shoes including Tim Senic, Paul Wilmoth Jr., Butch McGill, Jared and Jacob Hawkins, Billy Holbert, Zack Dohm, Harold Redman Jr., Ricky Williams, and more. Also the Budweiser crate Late Models will be racing for $1,000. The Miller’s Used Cars Modifieds battling for $650, and the Valley Supply Street Stocks vying for $350. Plus our Little League of racing, the Mini Wedges.
All classes except Supers will be awarded double points as well.

Two days of edge of your seat racing excitement, great food, great company, a gigantic fireworks display, what else could you ask for. Bring the whole family, tell your friends and neighbors. Load up the car with the lawn chairs and coolers and come to the Elkins Raceway to be part of history. It will go in the books as the biggest and best racing weekend in Elkins history.
