Due to the contiued light rain ( Drizzle) 201 is forced to cancell the races for this weekend, with the forcast calling for the continuation of this pattern throughout the night the sunday rain date was also cancelled the race is now scheduled for Saturday Nov 10th with gates opening at noon, and drivers meeting at 3PM
We at 201 apologize for the cancellation but the inside pits were determined to be to bad to use, and the track was so soupy with the continuous rain the push trucks could not get on the track to start running it in,
Jarrod Breeding owner of 201 Speedway agonized with this decision before finally deciding the track could not be properly prepared with all the drizzle over the day.
Track official had been watching the radar on weather.com all morning, and day and it kept saying the rain would move out by 2PM then later it moved to 4PM, and then the final decision was made when the light rain would continue until around the 6PM hour and probably by 6PM it would have said 8Pm so the decision was made to cancel the event.
The original plan was to run this event tomorrow, but with the forecast calling for much of the same tomorrow, the decision was made to just go for Nov.10th date next weekend is the World Finals in Charlotte and some of the drivers that may have had this race on their schedule could not return so the race was moved to Nov 10th to accommodate these drivers so the fans will have a chance to see many of their favorite drivers at that time.
