Hotel deal for the Pelican 100! Days Inn Bossier City off I-20 beside Old Minden Road (exit 21). $45 single OR DOUBLE! Ask for Ark-La-Tex Speedway rate. The hotel is 45 min from the Speedway (just about all of them are) but this one is also located 3 miles from the casinos, plus there's a mall, a Texas Road House, an Outback, a Chili's and lots of other stuff near by. Get a room booked while you can. Won't last long at this rate...

Found this footage of the FIRST Pelican 100 in 2011 taken by a fan in the stands. Bub McCool was a rocket ship those first 30 laps that year! Ray Moore went won the event with a lap 98 pass.

Practice night is here! TONIGHT! Weather is awesome for the weekend!! At least our part through Saturday night anyway.



Tonight (practice) will be the coolest night of the three. May see upper 40s as we're finishing up.

Friday race temps should be around 60 down to the mid-50s and Saturday will be in the 60s with a warm southern breeze! The first 2 years, the 100 has gone green before 10PM Saturday too!

All the drivers are confident about the weather, about the track, about the show! That means the best possible turnout even with the other reschedules so come on down!!!

Late entries in all classes allowed tonight. No entry fees in any class including Late Models. You will go on back of B-main. Pit pass $35. Grandstand $20 kids 10 & under free in the grandstand. Gates open at 3 (both sides), hot laps at 5, racing at 6. No significant rain till the morning folks. THIS IS GONNA BE A GOOD ONE!!!

The Late Model entry fee was dropped last night. NO entry fee event this year! Still $800 to start and there will also be 24 cars start the A-main. 12 are locked in. Top 5 from each B main will make the A-main. Then one non-qualifier gets drawn in. Then 24th spot gets auctioned off.
