It’s 19 Races at 13 different tracks highlight 2013 SLMR Series
The SLMR Series is proud to announce their 2013 Schedule which includes 19 races at 13 different tracks in four different states. Just added is the return to the Riviera Raceway in Norfolk on Saturday, August 3 The series which will be entering its sixth season has released its most aggressive schedule yet, with the series visiting more tracks (13) than in any previous year.
First time tracks on the SLMR schedule in 2013 include; the Beatrice Speedway, Eagle Raceway, Mid-Nebraska Speedway and Thunder Hill Speedway. Also, the series will be returning to the Butler County Speedway for the first time since 2010. The series will kick off their 2013 racing season on Sunday, April 28 with a return to the newly-opened Butler County Speedway near Rising City, Nebraska.
Most of the 2012 SLMR regular drivers are expected to once again contend for the 2013 series championship. Also, several new drivers have expressed serious interest in chasing the 2013 SLMR Championship. In 2012, Travis (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)es of Madison, Nebraska became the first two-time series champion by going back-to-back in 2011 & 2012. Previous SLMR Champions included; Al Humphrey of Giltner in 2008, Mike Wiarda of Aurora in 2009 and Kyle Berck of Marquette in 2010.
