$16,016 to win SLM BAMA BASH at Green Valley Speedway - LESS THAN 2 WEEKS

With Open Practice in the books, Green Valley Speedway is now full steam ahead for the 16th Annual Bama Bash which is less than two short weeks away on February 28-March 2, 2013.

This year’s running of the race at “The Jungle” features a $16,016 to win, $1,016 to start Super Late Model event as well as increased money in the Sportsman, Crate Late Model, Outlaw Thunder, Kajun Mini Stock Association, Pure Pony, Street Stock, and Enduro divisions.

Open Practice for the BAMA BASH is scheduled for Thursday February 28th. Qualifying and Heats will take place on Friday March 1st, with Consolation races and Features scheduled for Saturday March 2nd.

Once again the schedule will be split into an afternoon and evening session. This allows the local divisions to race in the afternoon session, and then track maintenance will take place before the three Late Model divisions take to the track at night. Information on times and what classes will be running are available on the front page of the track’s official website. Payouts and entry fees are available under the Forms section by clicking on the BAMA BASH ENTRY FORM in the dropdown box.

Fans are encouraged to bring their campers and stay the weekend as there will be plenty of FREE camping spots available at one of the most beautiful race track settings anywhere in the country! Also don't forget to stick around after Friday's action for the BAMA BASH Tent Party!

More information can be obtained by visiting the track’s official website at www.GreenValleySpeedway.com or calling the speedway office at 256-492-8550.

                Yes wall is up

Kill the view from the pits, can't see coming out of turn 2 or going into 3 just top of cars down the back stretch

repeat winners is not the answer. has nothing to do with it. -

                  1st annual - 2000 - john jones - 3k to win
                  2nd annual - 2001 - dale mcdowell - 15k to win
                  3rd annual - 2002 - wendall wallace - 15k to win
                  4th annual - 2003 - terrance nowell - 5k to win
                  5th annual - 2004 - rick eckert - 15k to win
6th annual - 2005 - clint smith - 16k to win (arp blew up on last lap leading, coasted to 2nd)
                  7th annual - 2006 - clint smith - 4k to win
                  8th annual - 2007 - clint smith - 3k to win
                  9th annual - 2008 - dale mcdowell - 10k to win
                  10th annual - 2009 - ray cook - 7.5k to win
                  11th annual - 2010 - ray cook - 10k to win
                  12th annual - 2011 - ronnie johnson - 10k to win
                  13th annual - 2012 - tim mccreadie - 15k to win

                  16th annual - 2013 - ???????????????????????

should be 14th annual - 2013 - unless somebody somewhere has the answer.

(some races above money to win was cut in half due to weather / 2 day program cut to one day)

now of course, mccreadie's big check last year said 15th annual, and i'm sure he really doesnt care, lol, but i dont believe that was correct. .....maybe an answer is out there.

The question i have is.... WTF does it matter?... I dont care if they call it the 100th Bama Bash..

Also why anytime that GVS is mentioned do you have a problem Dirt Crow?... GVS is one of the nicest dirt racing facilities around... Mr Harker hasnt been afraid to spend money to make a 1st class place for people to come race or watch a race.. I suppose your idea of a good race track is TST or the sh*thole up on the mountain that was a decent place until someone came in and turned it into a dump.... At least you can go to the bathroom @ GVS and not have to worry about what may be living there or if the port a potty has been emptied in the last year.

Names I have seen so far:

                            Ray Cook
                            Clint Smith
                            Ronny Lee Hollingsworth
                            Jason Hiett
                            Brian Reese
                            Vic Hill
                            Randy Weaver
                            Tony Knowles
                            William Thomas
                            Todd Morrow
                            David Gentry
                            Jason Wilson
                            Chase Edge
                            Braden Mitchell
                            Chip Brindle
                            Tyler Millwood
                            Jake Knowles

I would pretty much assume Shane Clanton and Ronnie Johnson being there as well. Chris Wall is a strong possibility as well. Hate this is always the same weekend as the Toilet Bowl now, but it is what it is.
