Tazewell rained out, will resume Sunday, August 18
The Chevreolet Performance Super Late Model Series almost got in their racing program on Saturday night. But rain moved in just before 10:00 and the remainder of Saturday's program has been rescheduled for Sunday, August 18.
Gates will open at 11:00 with a mandatory driver's meeting at 12 noon. Racing is set for 1:30. Qualifying for all divisions were completed and all time trial results will stand for Sunday's racing. The modified street race was completed before the rain began to fall with Phillip Buchanan taking the win.
There were 17 drivers on hand for the Chevrolet Performance Super Late Model Series race. Tim Busha took fast time honors with a lap of 11.594 seconds.
The remainder of the racing program will resume on Sunday. General admission tickets are $15, pit passes are $30. Ticket stubs and armbands from Saturday are good for entrance on Sunday.
